Carbon dating is severely flawed. Numbers can be changed within equations to fit the worldview positing millions of years. Humanity doesn't go back further. The world view of Darwinian evolution and millions of years is what needs to be criticized and challenged.

The biblical flood is an easy explanation of this. Just as the standing trees found across the planet coalified at the bottom, petrified in the middle and coalified at the top. An impossible situation unless the global flood is true. The bible is literal history and Jesus Christ is King.
